What is Amplitude?
Amplitude is a digital analytics platform for understanding user behaviour, building funnels, and running product experiments. The Browser SDK captures client-side events and sends them to Amplitude’s platform for analysis.
Why Amplitude matters
Like Mixpanel, Amplitude signals a product-led team. It is frequently deployed via GTM, which is convenient but makes it easy to end up with inconsistent event names or missing identity resolution.

What's usually deployed alongside Amplitude
Share of indexed containers running Amplitude that also run each tool. Based on a sample of the index, so treat these as approximate.
Is your Amplitude set up correctly?
- User identity is set before events fire so sessions attribute to the right user.
- The SDK is loaded once, not duplicated across GTM and a hard-coded snippet.
- Consent is respected for tracked visitors.

Amplitude FAQ
TagStack has detected Amplitude in 2,108 Google Tag Manager containers across its index of 3,278,587 scanned domains. That reflects sites deploying Amplitude through GTM, so sites that install it directly in their source code are not counted.
